It had been a few days since her encounter with the wolves that had taken her parents lives. It was still a difficult thought to swallow. She still wanted to tell herself it wasn't true, but it was sadly enough. She had been resting, but it was about time she got out and explored this land a little bit. Ellie wasn't around so she was unsure if she should leave the den or not. But being a cat, her curiosity got the better of her. Shifting gently from her sleeping spot, curled up in a little ball, she began to move. Lifting herself up slowly, her back arching in a stretch. Front legs extended into a bow, as she dug her claws into the floor of the cave with a yawn. This movement hurt, but not as much as it would of before. The sun was out on this morning, shinning in through the small amount of clouds that scattered the sky.
Blue eyes were wide as she peeked out of the safety of the den Elli placed her in. Tail swayed gently, nose twitching as she sniffed the earth. The scent of wolves scattered the land, however she should of expected that. Sore muscles tensed as she moved the rest of her body out of the den. She wasn't sure if she could call this place home or not, but Ellie had saved her, and brought her here. Did that mean she could stay? Mind raced as she moved, more quickly now. Scanning the land for any signs of anyone she didn't know. Which would basically be anyone besides Elli. Moving over to the watter, she drank, however kept her guard up. Ears flicked at the slightest sound, head raising. Tail lashed, with slight irritation. She wasn't doing anything wrong, well hopefully she would be allowed here.
Sighing, she moved away from the water, small build carrying her to explore the land a bit more. "Hmmm....what to do..." she spoke softly to herself. However at the sound of feet touching the earth, she froze. Body clinging low to the earth, she didn't have really anywhere to hide so she stayed where she was. There was no sight of who or whatever it was so she stayed put. Nose twitching, ears pulled forward at the top of her skull, and tail lashing.

Selena walked past Ellie who stopped her with a small bark. Turning around Selena smiled and greeted Ellie with a kind smile. It had been sometime since she had seen the czar, and it was refreshing to know the pack still had their healer. As Ellie spoke up Selena moved closer, "Hello to you too Selena." Her words were brisk like she had someplace else to be right now, "I recently found a small leopard cub who has had her parents murdered by wolves. I need to go collect herbs to lay our and dry for the winter, would you mind going and keeping an eye on her? Just let her know I sent you, and what ever you do don't spook her. she is still slightly injured, actually more than she might notice right now, but she might feel it later if she does to much." It was simple request that Ellie hoped that Selena could carry out for her, and to her hopes Selena agreed and the two females went on their own paths once again.
Walking toward where Ellie had pointed her, Selena soon found the small den that was freshly dug from the ground. It was big enough for a wolf to fit into barley, but would have been just perfect for the cub. Walking toward the den, Selena noted that the cub wasn't in there, well she already sucked as a babysitter. Laughing to herself she followed the scent through some bushes to the water's shore, finding herself facing the small leopard cub. Stopping by the bushes, not going any closer to the cub Selena introduced herself. "Hello Venus, I'm Selena and Ellie sent me to make sure nothing happened to you." Yeah it was pretty lame sounding, even to Selena, but if the cub was not a known member of the pack, well then things could get nasty.
Motioning with her tail, Selena figured staying near the den Ellie had made would be the best place to stay, maybe getting some food would be good too. Heading back through the bushes Selena hoped Venus would follow her back, if nothing else follow her just to meet her more in depth. While she waited Selena walked a few feet away from where the cub would be showing up soon hopefully, finding a small rabbit in the bushes. It was a simple kill, but she was sure the cub would love it. Since the temperature was dropping in the forest lately and it seemed winter would be coming soon, any meal would be good. Waiting Selena set the rabbit down for Venus when she got here.

Zira seemed better form her little physical mishap with him, but he still didn't allow himself to be sure that she wasn't going to relapse. Glacier was trying to make friends, and it seemed like the whole world was falling under the sour facade of fake happiness. Finch walked around a lot now without really knowing where he was going. Restlessness was a common charade flowing through the growing male's veins and he often found himself lingering on the boarders of Valcantia.
His blue eyes gazed over the smoldering remains of the charred sections of Elysia, or even strained against the dark shadows looking for eyes gazing back from the edges of Barra Treskri. Still though, silent, invisible strings always yanked him back to the center den of the Spirit pack, under the careful guidance of the wolves he still felt strange about calling his family. There was also the fact that Finch had yet to learn to hunt, and he sure as hell knew he was going to learn soon. These past few weeks he had internally worked up the courage to bring it up to Charon, and he was pretty damn close to doing it.
While walking, a few miles back he crossed a fresh trail of a sweet scent he had grown to know well. His last encounter with Selena hadn't really gone well, and though he regretted outwardly criticizing her blood, he couldn't bring himself to be entirely sorry. Glacier was just such a piece of crap, he couldn't believe that they were really related. As he followed the scent, he worked out tons of ways to maneuver their next encounter into something more...pleasant. After all, he hated her brother, not her.
Look, Selena, I didn't mean what I said. I just--Bah no, that sounds to pushover-y. He thought, his blue eyes watching the ground as he walked as to not stub his toes on stones or sticks. Slowly her scent began to mix with Ellie's, and Finch actually picked up his pace. He had come to see Ellie as a sort of grandmother. She was old...well sorta, and very wise; not naive like Zira was. Something else tugged at the end of the scent, but it was no wolf Finch had ever smelled so he shrugged it off. Maybe it was food!
At that thought, he continued on at a lope. Selena's fur glistened through the spaces between the trees as he approached, but there was no sign of Ellie. He frowned, realizing there was no carcass either, but a small ball of silver reflected the light oddly at Selena's feet. Forgetting his rehearsed greetings and apologies, he simply walked up to her side, eyeing the little creature.
Uh, when did you get a cat?

The smell of wolf reeked the land, she wanted to be back with her parents. With her own kind, this world was so foreign to her, the smells of the canines burned her nose. She wanted to be back up in the cold mountains where she belonged. But this wasn't the case for her, her parents were gone, and she wouldn't be able to survive without assistance of these wolves. Even though, it wasn't far from here where her parents and almost her were murdered. By wolves. A growl set low in her throat, she stayed clung to the earth. Ears flat against her head, tail lashing.
The wolf was noticeable now, at spotting her Venus hissed. Warning her to keep her distance. She stayed where she was, relaxing a little bit. But she still didn't want the stranger to come any close, and gave another hiss just to make sure they understood. She claimed to know Ellie and that Ellie had sent her, but lies could easily be made. As the wolf called Selena moved, she just watched her with wide eyes. When she didn't return, Venus got up slowly. Cautiously following Selena to find out where she went exactly. She crept low to the earth, being unsure of this newcomer.
The smell of a kill got the young cub to pick up her pace, she was hungry. She stalked cautiously up to where the kill was and laid down, beginning to eat. However the smell of another made her stop. Tail lashed, as she watched yet another wolf. He was much smaller though, but still bigger then her. When he moved close to her, she growled, and hissed. Moving away from him. Seeing as Selena was on the other side of her, and she had no where to run to, Venus resorted to defense. A small paw lashed out quickly at him, claws extending, hoping to give him a cut and make him back away. Ears pinned against her skull. "Keep your distance, wolf she growled angrily.

Selena watched as through the bushes the small cub came, cautious at first, but once she saw the food she seemed to warm up to Selena in the smallest bit. It was clear that something made the cub not trust Selena, who respected that and gave her her own space moving a slight distance away. After all it wasn't her job to become friends, just watch her.
The leaves of a nearby bush swayed slightly as another wolf, Ellie she hoped at first. Though to her dismay it was Finch, one of the last wolves she wanted to meet now. Selena wondered if Charon had yet to gather the pack and announce that she had officially left the pack, but she figured not.
Laughing just slightly when the cub lashed out at Finch, she was sure he wouldn't like that, but she found it funny. "I'm liking this cub more and more." She noted with a small giggle again. Although it did almost bring a tear to er eye to think she wouldn't be here much longer and would have to leave soon.
Selena had actually been on her way out of the land, but she couldn't say no to Ellie and she couldn't explain why she'd say no anyway. Ellie was to kind to be burdened like that, even though she had seen far worse and heard much more things than any petty issues Selena would have ever told her. "Don't worry Finch I don't think she'll kill you. I'd suggest just giving her some space. Seems we'll have to wait until Ellie comes back from getting more herbs until she trust us at all." Sitting down Selena got as comfortable as a traitor on the wrong side of the line could be.

A noise piped from the little thing, though it was totally foreign to him. He cocked his head as the air escaped her tightly clenched jaw, but blinked at the wrong time. The little gray paw flung out at his face, and when his eyes reopened it only saw her retreating back. A millisecond passed before the pain set in, his muzzle ablaze with a new, open wound. An instinctual snarl erupted from his chest, most of the pup-like tones gone from his grumble.
His joints locked in a pounce-state, his fur bristling while teeth lay exposed. He crouched, a good five feet from the little cat. "Better watch yourself, feline. You'd make a pretty adorable toothpick." The adolescent male growled.
"I'm liking this cub more and more." Piped Selena, resulting in his stance loosening. His brows furred as he looked at her, his ears pulling back a bit. Okay, so she didn't forgive him. He sighed, backing away from the kitty more before puling himself up into a regular sitting position. He never stopped the pitiful stare, though, even as he nodded his head to her next statement.
//OoC;; So he's totally gonna think she left because she's mad at him. lol\\

Glancing up at the female wolf who praised her attack on the male wolf, she smiled. And the fact that she hit him made her smirk, ice blue pools stared at him with warning. She hissed again as she hard the snarl, ears moved up then back down against her head. Tail thumped against the earth, wondering when Ellie would return. She was really the only wolf Venus trusted. And she was in a world filled with the creatures who murdered her parents, so she would have to adjust.
Hearing the males words she chuckled. "We'll see who would come out victorious." she responded. Eyes glaring over at him. Finishing up her meal, she yawned. Stretching herself out, she rested against Selena's leg. Taking in a deep breathe, she closed her eyes slightly. Muscles tensed and then relaxed as she stretched out a front paw, claws extending. Kneading the earth just barely.
The cool fall air was surrounding her, giving her slight chills. But she didn't care. Her many cuts and gashes were still healing and being a cub she wanted to rest, a lot.
