The pup did not hear the approaching foot falls, though the fur a long his side pricked slightly, feeling the presence of the other being near him. He could smell her, the scent strong and close as it swam into his nostrils, a scent that was strongly familiar and non threatening. The scent of his parents were still close, but with the fae closer, it dominated his nasal cavity. He turned just as Ess lay down near him. He smiled happily, tail wagging behind him as he romped towards her, his front legs on her side, “Hello Ess!” He said happily in reply, “I’m good, all rested. My parents never suspected a thing though they asked why I smelled of another being.” He said, looking towards the area she had come from, “I wasn’t worried, I actually hoped I’d see you today.” His personality was awry at such an age. As he grew, the true nature of his character would show itself, whether it would become good or bad, that was left to be decided.
He stepped away from her as her wings outstretched. He mimicked the movement, though his were quite small and still fragile. He yawned quickly, stretching his front claws out to dig into the earth below. His spine popped softly as he stretched, unable to do so in the moments that he awoke. He refolded his wings, coming to stand on Ess’ side once more, nipping at her ear. He growled softly, playfully. What harm could a pup at his age do to a fae of such size. He stopped biting, her voice echoing through the air. Hungry? Sure, he was hungry but he wasn’t worried about it right now but why not get it done and over with. He was able to kill small mammals on his own but it would take time before he could take down anything of relative size, “Hmm..I suppose I could eat. Not super hungry but it might do some good to have some food.” He replied, moving away yet again as she stood. He looked up towards her, admiring the strangeness of her appearance though it didn’t bother him. He to was quite a strange sight, at least he thought so.
Gaze of strange green scanned the area around them. The sun was beating down upon them, though it wasn’t scorching hot as some would prefer. The seasons were changing, the air had become cooler. The breeze that picked up every now and then blew in the cooler air, making the place around them more fall like in ways. He licked his lips gently, another yawn parting his lips. He came closer to Ess before running in between all four of her legs, hoping they could at least have some fun today rather than sitting around.
