V A L C A N T I A N L A W –
Basics:
- Charon is your leader and though most things are decided amongst the pack, all final decisions are made by Charon.
- Elders, pups, and spirits are to be treated with the utmost respect.
- Pups will not be accepted into a division until they are two years old and have passed their testing.
- Wolves are considered elders and will be kicked from their division when their age conflicts with their jobs and they are no longer able to preform their duties. The most an elder may do is help the 5th division educate pups.
Ceremonies:
- Each month on the full moon the pack will gather and the czar's of each division will go on a hunt, accompanied by anyone else wishing to partake upon the hunt. Whether or not they have made a successful kill they will return and resume their festivities. The full moon is a time of passing for spirits, as the Valcantian believe, so this feast is the packs way of wishing them a safe trip to the other side.
- When a couple wish to become mates they will be told to wait until the new moon before Charon gathers the pack to give his blessings and the czars of division five can summon the blessings of the spirits for the couple. Until this time the couple will be looked down upon and the blessings will not happen if they consummate their love before the new moon.
- After a litter of pups has been born Charon will call the pack together to celebrate the birth and bestow his blessings, as will the czars of division five bless the pups with the blessings of the spirits. They believe this will make the pups stronger and more likely to survive.
- When a pup has finished their two years of training, or a new member wishes to join the pack, they will go before Charon and the czars of each division to be placed in a division. Depending on the pup and the trial they choose will determine which division the pup will go into.
- When death claims a pack member all members of the pack will gather by the river and throw the body in as a way of easing the bodies travel to the river Styx. The czars of division five will give the family the blessings of the spirits and pray for the safe travel of the soul of the deceased.
Divisions:
- Each division has a czar who acts like a mini alpha and a cicerone that acts like a mini beta. They are in charge of the wolves in their division and hold the responsibility of giving them commands.
- When meetings are held it is usually the czars of each division that meet.
- If you'd like to become the czar of a division then you may ask Charon for the position. If the position is already filled you may challenge that czar and gain his rank.
- The requirements for becoming a czar depends on the division you wish to lead.
2nd division requirements: Character must be stealthy, quick, and merciless. The character must also have an undying passion to protect those in the 1st division along with the rest of the pack.
3rd division requirements: Character must again be stealthy, but also must be intelligent and be able to process information gained on the battle field.
4th division requirements: Must be well known for healing whether it be magically or herbally. The character must also be able to preform quickly.
5th division requirements: The spirits must have a liking for your character, your character must be able to see and communicate with the spirits. The priests/priestesses must be able to teach and be culturally fit to fill the position.
6th division requirements: Must be strong and quick to react, along with fast.
Fighting:
- Fighting and killing inside the pack is punishable by death. If you wish to challenge a member for their rank, woman, or anything else you must take it off the holy grounds of Valcantia and fight in the loner lands.
- Traitors are to be treated as trash. Biting, nipping, teasing and torturing is acceptable. Those who bring the head of a traitor will be praised in a manner Charon sees fit.
- Trespassers are to be brought to Charon or the czar of the 3rd division immediately upon sight. You may not kill trespassers or harass them.
Love/parenting:
- Falling in love with a wolf outside of Valcantia is acceptable ONLY if the other wolf has intentions of becoming a Valcantian. Otherwise the wolf in Valcantia will be punished, especially if the other party is a pregnant female.
- Having a mate inside Valcantia is acceptable, however, you must ask for the blessing of the 5th division czar and Charon before it is official or before you plan to have pups.
- The parents will decide at birth whether or not they want their pups to be a part of Valcantia. If they decide to not let them live this kind of life then when the pups are eight weeks old they will be banished. Should the parents have a change of heart the pups will be welcomed back.
Joining:
- Only Charon is able to decide who stays or goes.
- Those who are wishing to join Valcantia must be brought to Charon who will hold a meeting with all the czars to make sure the joining party is worthy of being called a Valcantian.
Leaving:
- Leaving is strictly forbidden, even if you warn Charon. You will be classified as a traitor and have to live your life on the run because we will find you and when we do...well...you should know what'll happen.
