Muscles tensed as she slowly padded across the all too familiar lands. It had been far, far too long since she had been here. Actually the last time, she was merely a cub. Never having many friends, she didn't talk much with the wolves. Which was why she left. She wanted to find some of her own kind, learn to live like a real snow leopard should. However she came to learn that snow leopards were solitary, and not one of her own kind would help her. So she merely watched the others from a distance, learning in her own silence and observation.
She also learned that being a snow leopard was no easy task. She had learned to brutality of male leopards away from her safe home. They were cruel, and she had learned this the hard way, being raped in her time away. She wasn't that far into her pregnancy, but it was that which had scared her enough to return home. Venus had indeed been changed in her time away. No longer that scared, shy little cub she was when Ellie had found her. She wondered where that wolf was anyway. It had been far too long. Creeping around the dead trees, she sighed. Pausing, she stretched up, leaning against one, and digging her claws into its bark.
Coming back down from her stretch, she yawned. Her large teeth gleamed, much bigger then a wolves. Tail flicked as she moved, she was shorter then a wolf, but had more muscle then most. Settling down against one of the trees trunks, she rested her head down. Her white coat standing out well in the brown surroundings.

It was a warm welcome that Ellie was glad to have. All to much lately the sun's warmth was slowly becoming less and less and it was a horrible effect she missed no small amount. Ellie personally hated the cold, but she had grown use to the changing of the season after many generations of it.
A small sigh escaped her parted maw. It had been months since she had last seen her small snow leopard, Venus, and actually Ellie had come to miss taking care of her. It had given Ellie something new to do, and in all honesty, something new to her didn't come around all to often anymore. As she walked on, far from her homelands, the smell of cat drifted through her nostrils, almost like an alarm. Though a smile came across her maw.
Picking up her pace Ellie was soon able to find the source of the smell. A wide smile passed over Ellie's maw and she even gave a small yip. Though something smelled just slightly off, it was something Ellie had smelled before, but on Venus it was a new scent. Questionably Ellie stood there for a second before speaking.
Not entirely sure what to say for a few seconds Ellie was just simply to in shock and joy to see Venus there before her. Yeah she was much larger now, maybe even fully grown by now, but Ellie would, and couldn't, forget the gentle face and soft spotted pelt of her furry little snow cub. Finally finding her voice, "Venus!" Almost laughing now she was so excited, the old fae really didn't get many surprises like this, "In all my centuries on this world, of all the stars I've created, nothing has ever had me as worried as you have. By gods you've grown too! Children these days grown up so quickly." Ellie took a few steps toward Venus, but stopped not sure if Venus even would accept her still, maybe something had changed?

Mind wrapped around the horrors of her past. So she watched her parents get murdered as a cub. It seemed life could still get worse, as impossible as it seemed. She was pregnant, without any choice in the matter. It happened recently. Sighing, she opened her blue eyes. She had been badly beaten by the snow leopards she had met on her journey in leaving this wolf haven. Huffing out a breathe of air, her tail curled around her side lazily. No one would notice her wounds anymore, they were covered by her thick white fur. But she felt them, and was extremely sore still from them.
Hearing the sound of her name, the snow leopard shot her head up. Honestly Ellie had scared her, her fur pricked and she quickly pulled back away from the she wolf. A hiss escaping her, as she extended out a paw full of claws at her. Growling in her throat, she flicked her tail angrily. However memories seemed to slap in her the face as she quickly regretted her actions.
"Ellie! I'm so sorry! You scared me..." she explained quickly. Approaching her friend, more like mother actually, she arched her back and brushed against her. A loud friendly purr came to greet her friend with a sudden change of personality from the large cat. "I've missed you..." she admitted, tone gentle and soft.

Stepping back with a speed only someone as old as she could still posses Ellie was out of the range of the large and clawed paw. Though she couldn't bring herself to growl back at Venus's threats. Though it almost seemed as though Venus had forgotten for a second who Ellie was, though it was clear in her eyes sh remembered now.
Ellie licked Venus's cheek in greeting as the large cat came up and rubbed against her side. Smiling, everything was alright, "No, no honey, I am sorry for surprising you like that. It's not every day this old sack of bones and fur gets a shock such as find you." Smiling Ellie took a step back to look over Venus.
It seemed like Venus was starting to get her winter pelt in, such as were the wolves with the colder weather rolling in. Though Ellie at attuned herself to the medical care and welfare of others and could see through the guise of Venus's fur. With a small tisk Ellie ask, "Where have you been?" though back tracked her own words, "No. no.. It is none of my business if you'd rather not say. Though I would love to know what has happened while you've been gone. Your different. You smell different." It was times like this Ellie was glad she was so old and had choose to lead the life she had, it was so easy to pick out scents and know when something was off balance, and she was already pretty sure she knew what it was, but wanted Venus to confirm her thoughts.

Sighing, she nodded reluctantly to Ellie's words. She knew it was her own fault, she never should of snapped as she did. Not to Ellie anyway, anyone else she might not of regretted it, but Ellie was different. Ellie was like the mother, that she had lost at such a young age.
She should of known Ellie would notice the differences both outside and inside of her. Ears flicked forward as she listened to the comforting tone of her. Tail relaxed behind her, as she moved to a sit. "You know I trust you more then anyone else...so I am ok with telling you.." she said softly. Eyes traveled to earth, ashamed of what had happened when she left. If she wasn't so stupid, she would of listened when she was told not to go.
"Well, you know how I went to find out what it was like to be a real snow leopard....live like they do. Oh Ellie it's horrible..." she explained, head hung. "They live alone, not wanting anything to do with others of their own kind...and they're violent." she continued on. "I've been badly abused.......and..well..and raped" she explained. Barely able to finish the last words. Closing her eyes slowly, she thumped her tail off the earth calmly. While inside, she was slowly shattering.

Though Ellie couldn't bear the thought of what seemed to have happened to her little snow cub. Rushing over to Venus Ellie comforted Venus. "Honey I'm sure not all leopards are like that.." Stroking Venus's back as she spoke, As for being raped, I promise everything will be alright, I promise you Venus it'll all be alright." Pulling back from Venus she looked her in the eyes.
Trying to think about something Ellie did what seemed would be the best solution, "Would you like to come back to Valcantia? Though I have to warn you Charon is gone. He left, some week or two ago. Selena is pregnant with his pups too." Ellie was sure that this news wouldn't be of much importance to Venus, but it would be nice for her to at least know what was going on in the pack. As far as Ellie was concerned, Venus always had a spot within the pack.
Taking a step back Ellie sighed, what was done was done. "Let me tell you something Venus, I know things maybe be total crap right now and everything might seem like it's falling apart, but don't forget you've still got me to lean on. I'll always, literally, be here for you until the day you are to old to live any longer. I'll always be here for you, for your children, and for your children's children. I'll never age, I'll never die. I'll always be here for you." Sitting down Ellie made herself comfortable, maybe Venus had some kind of happy tale to tell about the time she had been gone, or maybe she would just want to talk about everything. What ever she wanted to do Ellie would sit right her and listen until Venus talked herself out.

Life was nothing worth living at this point. She wanted to go to someplace where the world would never think of finding her and just hide away in shame. Who knew her own kind would do such things. Sitting there, she sighed. The cold air not standing a chance against her thick coat, which was made for cold weather. She embraced Ellie's comforting words. Trying to convince her own mind that everything would be alright.
Lifting her head up a little bit she listened as Ellie spoke once more. Nodding gently to her. "The only nice thing, would be the mountains. They were beautiful, and dangerous. But it was a great place to live." she explained with a soft smile. Her mind looking back on that snow covered land, with rocky ledges and thick forests.
It seemed time slipped away from her in her time gone. She was an adult now, and pregnant. Well barely an adult anyway. "Ellie...i'm not ready for this. I'm still a kid myself..." she admitted. At heart she was not ready to be a mother. She was still young and full of energy and life. How was she expected to take care of these cubs? She didn't know anything about being a mother. Hell, she barely knew anything about being a snow leopard.

Nodding when she finished talking about them. It would have been nice to be able to see them for herself, but Ellie was perfectly happy staying in the pack where she was. Though Venus would have loved seeing where Ellie had come from, they were a distant memory to her, the realm of the fae, though she was now banned from entering the realm any longer.
In all honesty Ellie felt horrible for not going after Venus when she had left, but she had also thought it best to let her go, now that seemed like the worse thing she had ever thought of. "It'll be alright Venus honey, don't forget you've got me. Nothing better than having someone who has seen it all to help you." Smiling she wondered if Venus would be glad to have Ellie around, or if she'd feel suffocated like some did.
Gathering herself up Ellie stood up and looked at Venus, "Do you want to go back home? Back to Valcantia? I'll only be able to help you if you do come back." As much as Ellie would love to help her if she didn't come back, she also knew it would be impossible to help her if she didn't.
